End of Week

The week started
off with a big crane paying us a visit. It was needed to lift the
para-lam beams into place. They fit into steel braces on top of
the many posts that are supported by the big cement footings which
were poured last week.
Then the upstairs floor framing
began. The outline of the second floor is really taking shape. Next,
the electrication, plumber and heating guys do their part before
closing up the floor. I'm also planning on networking the house
and need to figure out where the CAT 5 cable is going!
The downstairs framing is nearly
completed and half of the stair case is in place. I made my first
trip upstairs when Lee, the architect, came by to check things out.
My view of the park is really nice!

Lee double checks the framing
against the plans. |

He points out to a "particularly
well constructed"
part of the joist system. |

When can I come up? |

Cy wakes up from his daily
nap. |

Opps! Someone took a wrong
step. |
|
Cy and Lee pretend to discuss
the building plans, as they really talk about the local "blues"
scene! |
